Abstract

The article focuses on the effects of Julius Caesar's murder, which occurred on March 15, 44 B.C. Not merely because of Caesar's singular status as Perpetual Dictator, it is mentioned that the Ides of March had an immediate effect on the course of Roman history. Additionally, it mentions how well organised acts of violence helped him ‘restore liberty to the Republic' by igniting two civil wars under the pretence of exacting revenge on his father.
