Abstract

The article focuses on Sylvan Adams, a real estate mogul who donated $100 million to Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel's largest employer, two months after the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023. This donation is one of the largest ever to an academic institution in Israel and Adams' biggest single gift to date. Since moving to Tel Aviv in 2015, Adams has consistently supported various causes including education, healthcare, and community programs, motivated by the Jewish concept of tikkun olam, meaning "repairing the world." His philanthropic efforts emphasize technological innovations aimed at benefiting humanity and the environment.
