Abstract

George Gordon Lord Byron, one of the pioneers of English romantic poetry, was the subject of Ottoman State official documents primarily because of his collaborative role in the Greek revolt. In this article, it will be brought to light how Lord Byron's role in this revolt and his death later on was reflected in the Ottoman documents available in the Directorate of State Archives in Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
