Abstract
"OVER THE WALL: A BRIXMIS INTELLIGENCE OFFICER BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN" is a memoir by a former British intelligence officer, Will Britten, who served in BRIXMIS, a secret unit in West Berlin tasked with intelligence collection in East Germany during the late 1980s. The book offers personal anecdotes and insights into covert operations, but has been criticized by BRIXMIS veterans for factual errors and controversial opinions on the Mission's value. While entertaining, Britten's perspective may not fully capture the broader contributions of BRIXMIS to Cold War intelligence efforts. [Extracted from the article]
