Abstract
The paper analyses numerals recorded in passages of the Pentateuch in documented Croatian-Glagolitic breviaries and missals written by the end of the 15th century. By analysing verses in which the numbers in the Latin and Greek texts differ, it was found that the passages present in the Prophetology (Slavic parimejnik) are, in the books of the Croatian-Glagolitic tradition, most likely a translation based on the Greek text. Where such text occurs only in manuscripts of the Northern textological group of the Croatian-Glagolitic breviaries (in our material represented by the manuscripts VO, VB2, VB3, N1 and LJ), the numerals correspond to the Greek text. Where a passage is also present in breviaries of the Southern textological group or in missals, the numbers are corrected according to the Latin text. In text which is not included in the Prophetology, the numbers are usually the same as in the Latin text. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
