Abstract
(Bloomberg) -- France's CMA CGM SA, the world's third-largest container line, told vessels in the Persian Gulf to take shelter immediately and suspended passage through the Suez Canal."Passage through the Suez Canal has been suspended until further notice, and vessels will be rerouted via the Cape of Good Hope," the company said in a statement, adding that customers would be contacted with details of possible alternative ports.The Suez Canal Authority was not available for comment outside regular business hours.©2026 Bloomberg L.P.By Salma El WardanyReported by Author [Extracted from the article]
