Abstract
Shuyler Jansen, a Canadian musician influenced by Neil Young, recently released his fifth solo album, "Dim=Sum," following a near-death experience due to a heart attack. Despite the haunting quality of his music, Jansen's album does not directly address his traumatic experience. He plans to release two more albums in the near future and is grateful for the opportunity to continue playing music after his health scare. Jansen's music reflects his admiration for artists like Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, Nick Drake, and Earth, and he values the raw, live sound of his recordings. [Extracted from the article]
