Abstract

The article focuses on somatic empathy, the phenomenon where therapists experience the same bodily sensations as their clients. Topics include the connection between therapist and client through non-verbal synchronization, the risks of vicarious harm, and the importance of understanding the psychobiological mechanisms involved in somatic empathy.
