Abstract

The article presents the discussion on reflecting the unique vision of the medieval Islamic world. Topics include death of the prophet Muhammad setting off a protracted contest for control of the nascent religion of Islam; and numerous administrative buildings, vast gardens, baths, and opulently decorated reception spaces where the caliph receiving dignitaries.
