Abstract

The article focuses on the labor and industrial relations policies during David Lloyd George's coalition governments between 1916 and 1922 in Great Britain. It discusses the challenges faced by the government during wartime; how they dealt with major strikes; the impact of labor strength in the post-war economic upturn; and combination of negotiation with trade union officials & legal actions to address labor unrest and maintain munitions output during the war.
