Abstract

The article discusses the concept of Dynamic Identity Alignment (DIA) as a new approach to leadership that emphasizes adaptability and ethical coherence over traditional notions of authenticity. It highlights the experiences of a leader named Vivian, who navigates multiple identities in her role, illustrating the necessity of shifting between different personas while remaining grounded in core values. The article draws on insights from literature and psychology, particularly the works of Luigi Pirandello and Jamil Zaki, to argue that identity is fluid and context-dependent. It concludes that effective leadership in today's complex environments requires leaders to embrace their multiplicity and align their actions with their values, rather than adhering to a singular, fixed identity.
