Abstract

The article discusses the views and reflections of Lumière Film Festival and Institut Lumière director Thierry Frémaux about the cinema industry. Topics discussed include the history of cinema, the legacy of the brothers Auguste Marie and Louis Jean Lumière in the cinema industry and how the Musée Lumière museum in Lyon, France pays homage to cinema and photography. Also highlighted are the career of the Frémaux and the significance of cinema as a heritage.
