Abstract
This article from All About History provides a detailed account of the Battle of Paris in 1814. After suffering defeats in previous battles, Napoleon Bonaparte raised a new army to defend France against the invading forces of the Sixth Coalition. Despite some initial successes, Napoleon's army was outnumbered and outmatched. The Coalition forces, consisting of various European armies, advanced on Paris and eventually forced the French defenders to surrender. This defeat led to Napoleon's abdication and his first exile on the island of Elba. [Extracted from the article]
