Abstract
The article discusses the impact of climate change on Indigenous communities, particularly Tribal Nations and Alaska Natives in the United States. It highlights the challenges faced by the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe in Washington State, who are at risk of losing their ancestral lands due to coastal erosion. The tribe is seeking to relocate to higher ground but faces numerous obstacles, including the lack of federal resources and coordination. The article proposes the Tribal Environmental Resiliency Resources Act (TERRA Act) as a potential solution to provide support and assistance to Tribal communities facing climate change impacts.
