Abstract
George Lopez, a groundbreaking comedian, has been a champion of Latino voices since the 1980s. His sitcom, George Lopez, which started in 2002, depicted a Latino family in a relatable way and boosted visibility on television. Lopez became the first Mexican American to host an English-language late-night show with Lopez Tonight in 2009. His current show, Lopez vs. Lopez, showcases not only Latino culture but also universal experiences of family life.
