Abstract

Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked traffic on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge and Oakland's I-880 freeway as part of a coordinated worldwide action called A15. The protesters aimed to disrupt and block economic and logistical hubs and the flow of capital. The California Highway Patrol closed the Golden Gate Bridge in both directions, causing a major traffic snarl, while protesters in Oakland chained themselves to concrete-filled barrels. Similar protests occurred in Chicago and New York, where demonstrators disrupted traffic to O'Hare International Airport and the Brooklyn Bridge, respectively. [Extracted from the article]
