Abstract
The article discusses the invention of the aeroplane by the Wright brothers. Before their success in aviation, the brothers were involved in printing and bicycle businesses. They began experimenting with gliders and eventually developed a biplane glider that could carry a man. They then created a gasoline engine and added it to their glider, creating the first powered flight. The article also mentions the rivalry with Samuel Pierpont Langley, who claimed to have created the first true aircraft. The Wright brothers' invention paved the way for the development of modern aviation. [Extracted from the article]
