Abstract

We propose a novel integrated display and communication system. The backlight of a mini‐LED LCD acts as many independent transmitters for multiple‐input, multiple‐output (MIMO) visible light communication. We achieved a record data rate of 50.4 kbps using merely ten backlight columns. The LCD's contrast is also increased through local dimming. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
