Abstract

The article highlights significant archaeological discoveries from various regions, revealing insights into ancient cultures and practices. In Michigan, a lidar survey at the Sixty Islands site uncovered evidence of extensive farming by the ancestors of the Menominee people, challenging previous beliefs about agricultural limitations in the Upper Peninsula. In France, new radiocarbon dating suggests that the megalithic complex at Le Plasker dates back to between 6,600 and 6,300 years ago, potentially marking it as the oldest in Europe. Other findings include a Neanderthal fingerprint in Spain, a Tiwanaku temple in Bolivia, and ancient toys in Syria, all contributing to a deeper understanding of human history and cultural development across different regions.
