Abstract
The article focuses on the evolving recognition of Mina Miller Edison's significant role in the history of Thomas Edison National Historical Park, challenging traditional narratives that have marginalized her contributions. Mina, Thomas Edison's wife, managed the Glenmont estate, engaged in extensive philanthropic work, and advocated for the professionalization of domestic labor as "home executive," a role requiring diverse skills comparable to male-dominated fields. New interpretive programs and archival research, supported by a National Park Foundation Inclusive Storytelling Grant, aim to highlight Mina's multifaceted identity as a mother, businesswoman, and community leader, while also acknowledging the contributions of the diverse women who worked at Glenmont. This shift reflects broader efforts to integrate domestic history with scientific and technological narratives, thereby enriching public understanding of American history.
