Abstract
The General John Glover Farmhouse, the home of a prominent figure in the American Revolution, is at risk of being demolished despite its historical significance. John Glover and his regiment played a crucial role in saving General Washington's army during the war. Efforts are being made by local organizations to preserve the farmhouse, which is located in Swampscott, Massachusetts. An engineering survey conducted by the Swampscott Historical Commission found that while the house is deteriorated, many original features from the 1700s, such as fireplaces and woodwork, are still intact.
