Abstract

In this article I lay a foundation for how Kurt Lewin's diffuse totemic influence on the social sciences connects with the most innovative aspects of contemporary OD theory and practice. I make a case for how a generative, future-oriented OD can contribute to the societies and cultures in which we live by facing into the contemporary societal challenges upon which our collective future depends.
