Abstract

The article focuses on James Cameron's lifelong commitment to preserving and confronting America's history of racial violence through the creation of America's Black Holocaust Museum. Topics include Cameron's survival of a Ku Klux Klan–led lynching, the founding and development of the museum as an educational institution, and the use of historical documents and artifacts to teach future generations about African American oppression and resistance.
