Abstract
The author offers a perspective on the Windrush generation and its link to the National Health Service (NHS) of Great Britain. She stresses that free accessible health care is a right and points out the inequalities in health experienced by minority groups in the NHS highlighted by the pandemic, as well as the hostile immigration policies and racism suffered by Caribbean Americans of the Windrush generation. She looks forward to the resilience of the generation in the face of racism.
