Abstract

The Battle of Flodden, which took place in 1513, was a significant conflict between the Scottish and English armies. Despite initially having the advantage, the Scottish army suffered heavy losses and was ultimately defeated by the English. The battle was influenced by complex political alliances and conflicts between England, Scotland, and France. The outcome may have been different if the Scots had fought on a dry battlefield.
