Abstract
The article discusses the remastering of Frank Sinatra's album *In the Wee Small Hours*, originally released in 1955, which is being reissued by Blue Note Records in 2025 to celebrate its 70th anniversary. This new edition utilizes previously unused alternate original master tapes, enhancing the sound quality under the production of Joe Harley and mastering by Kevin Gray. The album, notable for its emotional depth and innovative format as one of the first successful 12” LPs, reflects Sinatra's personal struggles during his marriage to Ava Gardner and is considered a pioneering "concept" album. The remastered version aims to capture the unique qualities of Sinatra's voice and the emotional intensity of the original recordings. [Extracted from the article]
