Abstract
"Remembering Korea and Returning to Vietnam" is a review of two books that utilize oral histories to provide new insights into the experiences of African American soldiers in the Korean War and American and Australian veterans in the Vietnam War. David P. Cline's "Twice Forgotten" focuses on the experiences of African American soldiers in the Korean War and their contributions to the civil rights movement. Mia Martin Hobbs's "Return to Vietnam" explores the journeys of American and Australian veterans returning to Vietnam and the complexities of their experiences. Both books highlight the importance of oral histories in understanding the perspectives of those who fought in wars and their impact on historical movements and national memory.
