Robert Brown and Peter Good were part of Matthew Flinders's HMS Investigator expedition, while Theodore Leschenault was part of Nicholas Baudin's expedition. The diaries provide insights into their experiences and interactions during the expeditions. The article highlights the importance of Peter Good's contributions as a gardener and collector of Australian plants, and discusses the discovery and translation of Leschenault's original journal.
