Abstract
The article discusses the debate among economists about the Beveridge curve, an economic model named after economist William Beveridge which maps the level of job vacancies against employment level. Topics discussed include economists' view that unemployment need to materially increase for U.S. inflation to cool, the central bank's argument that a meaningful decline in job openings without accompanying rise in joblessness will help in the cooling of inflation, and the supply-driven inflation.
