Abstract
Greg Fergus, the thirty-eighth Speaker of the House of Commons, received a crystal ball as part of his perks when he took office. The crystal ball was found at the Farm at Kingsmere, the former residence of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada's longest-serving prime minister. King had a fascination with spiritualism and used crystal balls to contact the deceased. The crystal ball at the Farm has been removed, but another crystal ball associated with King can be seen at Laurier House National Historic Site. [Extracted from the article]
