Abstract
The article introduces the London, British Library MS Harley 2253 manuscript that was probably copied in the West of England in the early 14th-century and contains many items in Latin and Anglo-Norman verse and prose. Topics include a description of the red Templar cross at the center of the manuscript's folio 132r, factors that have prompted several attempts over time to account for the placement of the cross, and the Scriptum attached to the cross.
