Abstract

Women's History Month is an annual celebration of women's contributions to American history. It began in 1981 as Women's History Week and was later expanded to the entire month of March. In 2024, the focus is on women who advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion. The article highlights several influential women, including Vertamae Smart-Grosvenor, Edith Clarke, Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, Alison Bechdel, Grace Lee Boggs, and Wilma Mankiller.
