Abstract
A 28-year-old man has been arrested after shots were fired at a synagogue in Albany, New York. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect allegedly shouted "Free Palestine" as he fired the shots. The incident occurred on the first night of Hanukkah and comes amid increased tensions following an attack on Israel by Hamas. Antisemitism and Islamophobia have been on the rise in the US since the attack. This is not the first time Temple Israel has been targeted, as it was also threatened with a bomb in September.
