Abstract
The article focuses on a solo art exhibition titled "It's Not All Fun and Games" by New Mexico artist Jim Vogel, which will be held at Manitou Galleries in Santa Fe from October 10 to 19. The exhibition features over a dozen new paintings that reflect Vogel's storytelling style and his fascination with historical figure Elfego Baca, incorporating themes of play and the cultural implications of gun use in American society. Each artwork is uniquely framed using antique and vintage items, crafted by Vogel's wife, Christen, enhancing the playful yet reflective nature of the pieces. The exhibition opens with a reception on October 10, highlighting the collaborative and enjoyable creative process between the couple. [Extracted from the article]
