Translation of the "Agricola" into Ukrainian.

The article focuses on two key developments in mining and raw materials research. First, the 16th-century foundational mining work "De Re Metallica Libri XI" by Georg Agricola has been translated into Ukrainian with significant involvement from the Technische Hochschule Georg Agricola (THGA) in Bochum, Germany, aiming to provide Ukrainians access to this historic scientific text, including a rarely translated special section on subterranean beings. Second, a comprehensive new book by Gerhard Dumbeck reviews the evolution of agricultural recultivation practices in the Rhenish lignite mining area, detailing technical, scientific, and regulatory aspects of land restoration following lignite extraction, based on decades of experience including that of RWE Power AG. Both projects contribute to advancing knowledge and practice in mining heritage and environmental reclamation.
