Abstract

This article discusses a competition held by the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals (ASDP) where designers were challenged to create unique outerwear inspired by two-dimensional works of art. The finalists' garments were judged by a panel of experts, and winners were chosen in various categories. The article highlights the winning designs, including a jacket inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights," a wool coat featuring a needle-felted landscape inspired by Bob Ross, a coat with a trim inspired by Piet Mondrian's "Broadway Boogie Woogie," and a coat with needle-felted imagery inspired by Claude Monet's garden. The article also mentions the use of specific techniques and materials in each design. [Extracted from the article]
