Abstract

Airbus has emerged as the dominant player in the aviation industry, outperforming its rival Boeing. It recently received the largest aircraft order ever from IndiGo, India's largest airline, for 500 narrow-bodied A320 family aircraft. Airbus also achieved a record number of jet orders in 2023, generating €65.4 billion ($71 billion) in revenue, an 11% increase from the previous year. The company is expected to deliver a record number of aircraft in 2024. CEO Guillaume Faury is focused on expanding production capabilities globally and developing sustainable aviation, with plans to introduce the world's first hydrogen-powered commercial plane by 2035.
