Abstract

This article presents the 2025 presidential address for the Academy of Management (AOM) by Peter A. Bamberger. Bamberger reflects on his education and professional career through the themes of activism and scholarly impact. He then discusses three AOM projects that provide direction for the academic community moving forward, these include academic freedom and global relevance.
