Abstract

Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, has been experiencing severe air pollution, with the city ranking as one of the most polluted in the world. Factors contributing to the toxic air include the burning of agricultural products and waste, as well as the city's heavy use of gasoline. The government is under pressure to implement stricter measures to address the smog, such as testing compliance with emissions regulations and promoting sustainable transport systems. Air pollution in Vietnam causes thousands of deaths annually and shortens the average lifespan by 1.4 years, according to the United Nations. [Extracted from the article]
