Abstract
The article focuses on recent developments in satellite technology and space missions. It reports China's successful launch of its first reusable satellite, Shijian-19, carrying international payloads and advancing reusability and microgravity research. SpaceX conducted the first human spaceflight launch from Space Launch Complex-40, sending NASA's Crew-9 astronauts to the International Space Station. The European Space Agency awarded Deimos Space a contract for the DRACO (Destructive Re-entry Assessment Container Object) mission, aimed at demonstrating controlled satellite breakup to enhance space sustainability. Additionally, L3Harris Technologies secured a contract to provide propulsion systems for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency's Glide Phase Interceptor program, and Satellogic Inc. was selected for NASA's Commercial SmallSat Data Acquisition program to supply high-resolution Earth observation data.
