McDonald's is planning to expand its global presence by opening 50,000 locations by 2027, which would be the fastest expansion in the company's history. Currently, McDonald's has over 41,000 restaurants and has committed to opening an additional 2,000 by the end of this year. The expansion will include traditional McDonald's restaurants as well as delivery or drive-thru only locations.
