KING JOHN'S LOST TREASURE.

Abstract

The article investigates what happened to the lost treasure of King John of England on the road to war in Washington in 1216 that have brought about his demise. Information is provided about the golden and silver jewels and other precious items such as goblets, crosses, vessels and phylacteries as well as the royal regalia owned by King John, and the theory that the king's baggage train ran afoul and swept by tide, or trapped in mud as it travelled in different routes.
