Abstract
The article focuses on the character Eudora in Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strip, created as a tribute to author Eudora Welty. Introduced in 1978 during a summer camp storyline, Eudora became a recurring character known for her absent-mindedness, voracious appetite, and close friendship with Sally. Schulz's admiration for Welty inspired this literary reference, which Welty herself acknowledged and appreciated. Eudora appeared in multiple Peanuts TV specials and adaptations before disappearing from the strip in 1987, serving as a lasting symbol of Schulz's integration of literary influences into his work.
