Abstract

The article examines diverse historical and contemporary religious transformations, emphasizing the complexity of religious change across cultures. It highlights the Anglo-Saxon elite's strategic adoption of Roman Christianity as a fusion of sacred and worldly power, the Parsi community's demographic challenges linked to their traditional rejection of proselytism and ethnic-religious identity, and the impact of Spanish colonialism on Mexica (Aztec) religious practices alongside Indigenous cultural survival in Mexico. Additionally, it addresses the persistence and emergence of new religious movements worldwide, noting that modernization has not diminished religiosity but rather fostered a competitive spiritual marketplace with diverse faiths adapting to contemporary contexts.
