Abstract
Marcus Schulzke's I Twenty-first century military innovation i builds on this literature. The classical military innovation literature analyses how military organizations seek to preserve the utility of their force through doctrinal change. In doing so, Schulzke offers an innovative perspective on military innovation, not focusing on the mechanisms behind its emergence but instead on its wider political and normative implications.
