Abstract
The author discusses a mandatory re-enactment of the protests held by students and workers in France in May 1968 in his introductory interdisciplinary course at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Ontario. It describes the history of the protests by students over cramped facilities and inadequate resources at Nanterre University and eventually by workers over working conditions and levels of pay. It explains the objectives, preparations and evaluation of the impact of the re-enactment.
