Abstract

The article focuses on the recent release of two previously unavailable Peanuts television scores composed by Grammy-winning jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi: 1966's *Charlie Brown's All Stars!* and 1976's *It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown*. These releases, co-produced by Sean and Jason Mendelson, mark significant anniversaries and showcase Guaraldi’s evolving musical style, featuring both acoustic and electric instrumentation. *Charlie Brown's All Stars!*, which aired on CBS and centers on Charlie Brown’s baseball team dilemma, was recorded by Guaraldi’s sextet and reconstructed from surviving audio elements, while *It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown* presents a more expanded trio with synthesizer and electric piano. The article also clarifies that *All Stars!* was planned before the success of *A Charlie Brown Christmas*, reflecting early confidence in the Peanuts holiday specials series.
