Abstract

ScoopAt least four members of a church in Grand Blanc Township, Mich., have died, and eight were wounded, after a gunman launched a military-style attack during services on Sept. 28. Officials say Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, drove his pickup truck through the front doors of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then opened fire on congregants while also setting fire to the building. The former Marine was killed in a shootout with police. "We can't keep living our lives like this," Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer told reporters.PHOTO (COLOR): The charred remains of the Grand Blanc church, hours after the Sept. 28 attack.
