Abstract
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a gradual decrease in the heatwave conditions in northern and central India starting from May 30. This comes after Delhi recorded its highest-ever temperature of 52.3 degrees Celsius. The IMD also anticipates the onset of the monsoon in Kerala and the advance of the monsoon in parts of northeastern states. Additionally, widespread rainfall is forecasted in southern, eastern, and northeastern states, with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds expected in various regions. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha are also expected to experience scattered rainfall in the next five days. [Extracted from the article]
