Abstract

President Joe Biden will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 19 individuals, including Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to become House speaker, and Congressman Jim Clyburn, who helped revive Biden's struggling campaign in 2020. Other recipients of the medal include Michael R. Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, John Kerry, former Secretary of State, and Al Gore, former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize winner.
